I am a theoretical physicist working primarily in gravitation, cosmology and quantum field theory. My interests centre on the physics of the early universe, gravitational dynamics, black holes and the field-theoretic description of cosmological systems.

I completed an MSc in Gravity, Particles and Fields at the University of Nottingham, where my dissertation, Cosmic Inflation: Background Dynamics and Quantum Fluctuations, examined inflationary evolution, scalar-field dynamics and the generation of primordial quantum fluctuations. Earlier, I completed an MSc in Physics at Assam Royal Global University, with research focused on cosmology and black-hole physics.

My current work extends across early-universe cosmology, reheating and post-inflationary dynamics, anisotropic cosmological models, gravitational theory and exploratory field-theoretic approaches to foundational questions in cosmology.

Research Perspective

My approach to theoretical physics is driven by questions about the dynamical structure of spacetime and the physical mechanisms that shaped the early universe. I am particularly interested in problems where gravitation, cosmology and field theory meet—such as the dynamics of inflation, the transition to the post-inflationary universe, the behaviour of quantum fields in cosmological backgrounds and the structure of gravitational systems under extreme conditions.

I am interested both in established theoretical frameworks and in carefully formulated exploratory models. In developing such models, I aim to distinguish clearly between known physics, phenomenological extensions and genuinely speculative assumptions, while asking whether new dynamical structures can yield mathematically consistent and physically testable consequences.

Academic Journey

University of Nottingham

My postgraduate training in the MSc Gravity, Particles and Fields programme strengthened my focus on gravitation, cosmology and quantum field theory. The programme brought together general relativity, field theory, cosmology and related areas of mathematical physics, and provided the setting in which my interest in early-universe dynamics became more sharply defined.

My dissertation, Cosmic Inflation: Background Dynamics and Quantum Fluctuations, focused on the dynamics of inflationary scalar fields, slow-roll evolution, primordial perturbations and the connection between theoretical models of inflation and cosmological observables.

Assam Royal Global University

Prior to Nottingham, I completed an MSc in Physics with an emphasis on cosmology and black-hole physics. My dissertation examined questions concerning the state of a black-hole singularity following black-hole evaporation, reflecting an early interest in gravitational systems, singularity structure and the conceptual limits of classical descriptions of spacetime.

Gauhati University

My undergraduate training combined Physics, Mathematics and Computer Science, providing the broader mathematical and computational foundation on which my later work in theoretical physics developed.

Current Research Direction

My current research interests are centred on early-universe cosmology, particularly the physical evolution following inflation. I am interested in reheating, energy transfer and thermalisation, and in understanding how the universe transitions from an inflationary phase into the hot Big Bang regime described by standard cosmology.

Alongside this, I continue to explore problems in gravitation, black-hole physics, anisotropic cosmology and field-theoretic model building. A broader aim of my work is to investigate how modifications or extensions of familiar dynamical structures can be formulated consistently and, where possible, connected to observable or theoretically distinguishable consequences.

Beyond Research

Beyond research, I am interested in scientific writing, education and communicating complex physical ideas in a clear and accessible form. Teaching has remained an important part of my academic work and continues to reinforce the value of explaining mathematical and physical concepts from first principles.

Writing is also an important part of my life beyond academic physics. I have worked across fiction, poetry, reflective writing and longer-form scientific and philosophical projects, using literature as another way of exploring questions about nature, existence and human experience. I also enjoy playing the guitar and music more broadly, which provides a very different creative space from theoretical work.

Outside academic and literary work, I am strongly drawn to nature and to exploring new places. Time spent in natural landscapes, travelling and observing unfamiliar surroundings often gives me a different kind of perspective from the one I encounter at a desk or blackboard.
