Gravitation · Cosmology · Quantum Field Theory · Early-Universe Physics
My research interests lie at the intersection of gravitation, early-universe cosmology and quantum field theory, with particular interests in inflationary dynamics, reheating, black-hole physics, anisotropic cosmology and foundational questions in gravitational theory.
About Me
I am a theoretical physicist with an academic background in gravitation, cosmology and quantum field theory. My postgraduate training includes an MSc in Gravity, Particles and Fields from the University of Nottingham, where my dissertation focused on cosmic inflation, background dynamics and quantum fluctuations.
My current interests centre on early-universe cosmology, gravitational theory, black-hole physics and related questions in fundamental physics, with an emphasis on developing and analysing theoretical models using field-theoretic and geometrical methods.
Research Interests
Early-Universe Cosmology
Inflationary dynamics, primordial perturbations, reheating and the transition from inflation to the subsequent thermal history of the universe.
Gravitation & Black Holes
Classical and theoretical gravitational physics, black-hole dynamics, spacetime structure and questions concerning gravitational singularities.
Quantum Field Theory
Field-theoretic methods in cosmology and gravitation, including scalar-field dynamics and quantum fluctuations in curved and cosmological backgrounds.
Anisotropy & Foundational Models
Anisotropic cosmologies, departures from idealised homogeneous dynamics, and exploratory theoretical frameworks addressing foundational questions in gravitational and cosmological physics.
Selected Research & Research Outputs
Cosmic Inflation: Background Dynamics and Quantum Fluctuations
Master’s Dissertation · Early-Universe Cosmology
An investigation of inflationary background dynamics and primordial quantum fluctuations, including slow-roll evolution, scalar-field potentials and observationally relevant predictions for the early universe.
Post-Inflationary Dynamics and Reheating
Ongoing Study · Early-Universe Cosmology
An ongoing investigation into the physical evolution following the end of inflation, with particular interest in reheating, energy transfer, thermalisation and the transition toward the standard hot Big Bang phase.
Temporal-Field Models of Cosmological Dynamics
Independent Theoretical Investigation
An exploratory programme examining whether temporal degrees of freedom can be represented through dynamical field-theoretic models, with applications to cosmological evolution and gravitational phenomena.
